Second round. Recitals.

Registration for the Winners’ Recital will begin on Monday, April 27th, 2026, 9 am EST.

Carnegie Hall,   Merkin hall at Kauffman center, Harvard University, Rockport Music, The German Society of Pennsylvania, Aga Khan Museum concert hall, Bryant University, Crescendo TV channel.

The Third place winners should apply for the Second round of the competition in one of listed below recital venues: Merkin hall (New York), The German Society of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA), Rockport Music Shalin Liu (Rockport, MA),  Aga Khan Museum (Toronto, Ontario), and on-line recitals on Crescendo TV channel

All contestants must wear formal attire.
 

Recital fees for Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall:

A Solo recital fee is $330 USD;
A Duet recital fee is $230 USD per member;
A Trio recital fee is $205 USD per member;
A recital fee of $160 USD per participant will be assessed for an ensemble of four and more musicians.
Tickets are not included.  For tickets reservation text to 732.539.4634 performer’s name, Unique Identifier number (UIN) ,date and time of recital, number of tickets you want to reserve. Booking will be closed 7 days prior to the recital date. No ticket purchase is required for performing artists

Recital fees for Zankel Hall at at Carnegie Hall

A Solo recital fee is $675 USD;
A Duet recital fee is $360 USD per member;
A Trio recital fee is $320 USD per member;
A recital fee of $300 USD per participant will be assessed for an ensemble of three and more musicians.
Tickets are not included.  For tickets reservation text to 732.539.4634 performer’s name, Unique Identifier Number (UIN) date and time of recital, number of tickets you want to reserve. Booking will be closed 7 days prior to the recital date.

Recital Fees for Weill Recital and Zankel Halls at Carnegie Hall includes:venue, stage crew Carnegie Hall personnel labor, security, ushers, audio system, preparation and publishing of legal Playbill*, protocol, backstage crew, insurance, winner’s Certificate with holder.

Recital fees for Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center

Recital fees for Harvard University

A Solo recital fee is $330 USD;
A Duet recital fee is $160 USD per member;
A recital fee of $140 USD per participant will be assessed for an ensemble of four and more musicians.
Free admission.
 

Recital fees for Rockport Music Shalin Liu PAC:

A Solo recital fee is $300 USD;
A Duet recital fee is $160 USD per member;
A recital fee of $150 USD per participant will be assessed for an ensemble of three and more musicians.
Free admission.
 

Recital fees for Aga Khan Museum:

A Solo recital fee is $225 USD. Free admission.

Recital fees for The German Society of Pennsylvania:

$210 USD for solo performance. $50 fee per additional member of duet, trio, ensemble. Free admission.

Recital fees for New Britain Museum of American Art

$150. Free admission

Recital fees for On-line video recital on Crescendo TV channel

$185 USD
 
Unpaid recital applications will be canceled in 5 days.
 
The registration is closed as the recital has reached capacity.

We accept debit and credit cards payments via PayPal. To make payment via PayPal login in to your account and make payment to [email protected]. Please specify student’s name on the Memo of your PayPal transaction or personal check. (Payer responsible for bounced checks and PayPal service fee)

Please be advised:

    • At the Winners’ recital the participant performs ONE piece. Ex. one movement of Sonata/Sonatina; one selection from Partita, Suite, or any ordered set of pieces.
    • For the Second Round – Winners Recitals, all compositions requiring an accompaniment must be performed with accompaniment.
    • Recital participants are responsible for the recital fees. All fees are non-refundable.
    • The placement achieved on the First round of competition might be changed/improved on the Second round depending on the performance quality.
    • Students who do not participate in the Second Round are considered withdrawn from the competition and do not receive a Winner’s Certificate.
    • Guest performers receive a “guest performer” Crescendo diploma for participating in a Crescendo Winners Recital.
    • Registration for the Winners’ recital will be closed 10 days prior to the recital. No payments will be accepted after that date.
    • Certificates or Prizes won’t be sent via mail.
    • As the duration of recital programs are strictly limited. Performers are registered on a first come, first serve basis.
    • Winners of Crescendo International Competition are eligible to participate in International Program that is planned to be held in China and Italy.

How to get to Carnegie Hall?

1. “Practice, practice, practice”

2.  Performing artists arrive 45 min prior to the curtain time for check-in at the backstage entrance located on 161 West 56th Street, New York, New York 10019. To minimize traffic at the backstage entrance, we kindly ask only one adult accompany young performers to security office.

3.  Crescendo competition staff members escort artists to the back stage for brief practice at the backstage practice rooms.

4.  Please be advised that …

       a. Participants allowed to perform only one composition during the Winner’s Recital. (eg.  one movement of Sonata, Sonatina, or Concerto, one selection from Partita, Suite, or any ordered set of pieces are considered as one piece).
       b. Performance duration is strictly limited to 6 minutes. Repeat signs and “Primo volta” (first endings) should not be performed. If the duration of the performance exceeds the allotted time limit of 6 min, student will be disqualified and suspended from receiving certificate.
       c. Compositions must be performed from memory.
       d.Certificates and prizes will be distributed at the conclusion of the recital and will not be sent by mail.
       e. Scoring/placement awarded during the first round of the competition may be subject to changed (improvement/remediation) during the second round, pending performance quality. Decisions on monetary rewards are based on accumulated audition score, composition complexity and contestant’s artistic maturity. Rewards might be suspended due to poor performance.
 
5. All ticket holders use main entrance to Weill Recital Hall / Zankel Hall located at 57th Street.
 
6. Guests and family members may purchase tickets at the Weill Recital Hall / Zankel Hall’s BOX office.
 
7. Previously made ticket reservations will be available at the Box office under performer’s name. Please note, that availability of tickets is limited.
 
8. At the end of recital parents meet their children at the Weill Recital Hall / Zankel Hall lobby.
 
9. Please note that the taking of photographs, audio recordings and video recordings is strictly prohibited at all times in the Carnegie Hall.
 
10. Recital participants are responsible for the recital fees. All fees are non-refundable.
 
11. Please note that Recital  won’t be rescheduled to another date and recital fee won’t be credited in any circumstances. 
 

How to get to John Knowles Paine Concert Hall at Harvard University?

Performing artists must arrive 45 minutes prior to the curtain time for check-in in the lobby of John Knowles Paine Concert Hall at Harvard University located at 3 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA.Crescendo Competition staff members will escort artists to the practice rooms for a brief warm-up session.

Please be advised that:

  • Participants are allowed to perform only one composition during the Winner’s Recital.
    (For example, one movement of a Sonata, Sonatina, or Concerto, or one selection from a Partita, Suite, or any ordered set of pieces, is considered one piece. 
  • Performance duration is strictly limited to 6 minutes. Repeat signs and “prima volta” (first endings) should not be performed. If the performance exceeds the allotted 6-minute limit, the student will be disqualified and suspended from receiving a certificate.
  • All compositions must be performed from memory.
  • Certificates will be distributed at the conclusion of the recital and will not be mailed.
    e. Placements awarded during the first round of the competition may be subject to change (improvement or remediation) during the second round, depending on performance quality.
  • The recital at Harvard University is free of charge, and no ticket purchase is required.
  • At the conclusion of the recital, parents may meet their children in the lobby of John Knowles Paine Concert Hall.
  • Photography, audio recording, and video recording are permitted; however, the use of internal or external camera flash is prohibited.

Please note that the recital will not be rescheduled to another date, and recital fees will not be credited under any circumstances.
